Inspired by the music of Matthew Pellegrino and created for the virtual stage, Dear Mother weaves together performances - all filmed and recorded remotely - by four dancers and five musicians to tell one transracial adoption story. Through orchestral and piano music and movement, the artists reveal the emotional evolution within the adoptee child as she navigates the complicated, lifelong relationship with her birth mother, known or unknown.
